It occurred to me the other night that there are over 900 million people on the internet right now, and I am scheming to make some cash quick and am tired of the conventional way of doing things. Everything now-a-days is overpriced; hell, even restaurants are making the dollar menu obsolete, and changing them to the almost-a-dollar menu, and even when it is only a dollar you're just wasting money. So I was thinking that each person should donate to me just $1. What will this dollar get you? Well this donation will enter the person who donates a dollar to me (person donating must live in the United States for this chance to win a flight) a chance to win a flight to anywhere in the United States (Including Alaska and Hawaii). For every 2000 donations I receive I will draw a name out of a bucket at random, and upon drawing the name I will post who the winner is on this site and on my Myspace (www.myspace.com/s_v) and will contact the winner to sort out the details. This ticket is for one person only and it is a round-trip ticket to the destination of your choice (Within the USA including Alaska and Hawaii). You may donate more than $1 and this will enter you in the contest once per every dollar donation you give (i.e $100 is 100 chances). Your odds are very high of winning considering I will be drawing your name out of only 2000 other names (assuming you only donated $1, chances are much higher if you donate more). when you think about it, you spend more on the lottery yet your odds are often something like 1 in 146,000,000. while with my drawing, the cost is low, the drawing is simple, you're helping me, and you're getting a nice flight. So get donating now and lets earn me a little cash, and you a trip to that destination in the USA of your choice. Also, if the pot doesn't reach $2,000 there will not be a drawing, but I do appreciate the donation.

mmorpg and me: can you make a living with invisible items?
With the rapid growth of massive multi player online role playing games (mmorpgs) there has been an emerging business venture that has rapidly grown as well and it is taking the mmorpg market by storm. There are many people that are now buying and selling virtual gold pieces from these mmorpgs with real world currency with either the intention to resell them for profit (or loss) or to advance their characters through the ranks of these games. Julian Dibbell has written an entire book titled "Play Money" about the adventures of himself as he attempted to live on the salary of an internet gold and item broker for an entire year. Throughout this well-written book you will find excellent information about how he went through the steps of obtaining a $3000+ income every month with a small initial investment and a large investment of patience. I definitely encourage you all to pick this book up if you're interested in a good read, as well as a great look into how to make money with such a unique and profitable business.

Halloween rapidly approaches: what will you wear?
So I was shopping around for this years costume, everywhere I went online seemed to be poorly laid out, or just didn't seem to have what I was looking for. So I was searching around and stumbled across Costume Cauldron and found what I had been hoping for (V's costume from the hit movie V for vendetta). Not only were they well laid out and it was extremely easy to find what I was looking for (especially since tv and movies were a totally seperate catagory and simple to come across) but they had V's mask and all the accessories. The costume should be a pretty huge hit this year considering the popularity of the movie.
The other thing is too, I'm going to be going to a halloween party (hence the costume as I'm just a bit too old for trick or treating) and I managed to stumble across some neat magic and card tricks which were also readily available at Costume Cauldron so this way I can show up in style with my new V for Vendetta suit and then impress the ghouls (bad joke, I know) with some magic. I can't wait!

No luck in the dating scene? Let this blog help be your guide
Allow me to start out by saying that in no way do I claim to be any kind of dating guru; what I've found are proven ways that really work to cause attraction, help you get phone numbers, and great dating ideas that are fun (and cheap) for you. I suppose the real way to do this would be to start out by showing the science behind attraction and how it developed and evolved over time to allow you to get a deeper understanding, however I think that that would be best left to following blogs, and I'll keep this one simplified. The main thing to remember is that no matter how you look, whether you've got a chiseled jaw and model-like looks, or have average or less looks, there's always something you can do to improve your physical appearance. The basics are definitely good hygiene, shower regularly, be well groomed, and things of that nature. Also, I try to say that if you lack something, try to make up for it elsewhere. So if you have very thin hair, make sure you keep that smile nice. Once you have that down you can work on what you're wearing. I recommend clothing that is timeless as it will not go out of style and you wont have to continuously buy new clothing; with that in mind, I often wear a nice leather jacket, a plain (black or white or brown) t shirt, and a pair of black or brown casual shoes.
After you're all freshened up and looking great, it's time to meet some women! Where you go to meet the girls is entirely up to you and what you want in a woman. If you're looking for an intelligent woman try going to a bookstore. If you're looking for a girl thats nice and in-shape, try going to the gym. Now that you're at your desired location, its important to find the girl and maintain eye contact with her. This is important guys, when I say maintain eye contact, I don't mean stare. huge difference. So you've made eye contact, now don't look away, let her look away instead. So once she looked away just walk up and introduce yourself, definitely don't be cut and dry about introducing yourself, try being funny! Make a comment about her purse being too large or her shoes being very tall. This, as described by David DeAngelo is cocky comedy. Cocky comedy is essentially using a cocky comment mixed with some humor. A cocky comment, for instance, would be "Wow you're purse is huge!" but mixed with a little bit of funny it could be used like this "Wow that purse is huge, got a gun in there?" and say it with a grin. She'll get it. So now that you've introduced yourself you don't want to linger any longer than you need to. So after you introduce yourself just tell her you need to get going and that you'd love to give her a call, so get your pen and paper out and just hand it to her and when she writes it down give her a hard time about it using cocky comedy; and make sure to ask her for her email since shes writing her number down anyways.
You have her number so what're you going to do? Call her. Not the same day, but the day after or so just let her know you want to get together and get some coffee or just something small like that so that its a quick meeting and its cheap too. So go on the date and work your cocky comedy, and if you don't have cocky comedy down pat its better not to do it than to mess it up so work on the cocky comedy and get it down pat so that you can do it on command.
From there the rest is history and whether or not you take it to a serious relationship or not is up to you. Good luck and happy dating!
